Have
you ever felt that you’re alone? Do you feel the sadness that comes from
within? How about the burden, is it heavy enough for you to carry it on?
A teacher or schoolteacher is a person who provides education for pupils (children) and students (adults). The role of teacher is often formal and ongoing, carried out at a school or other place of formal education. In many countries, a person who wishes to become a teacher must first obtain specified professional qualifications or credentials from a university or college. These professional qualifications may include the study of pedagogy, the science of teaching. Teachers, like other professionals, may have to continue their education after they qualify, a process known as continuing professional development. Teachers may use a lesson plan to facilitate student learning, providing a course of study which is called the curriculum.
Without a doubt, there’s no person who doesn’t do
mistakes in their lives. Every one of us of course made one. As a student,
making mistake in not new, we all know that this mistake will make us change to
be a better person whom may also change someone’s life someday.
When I am still on my freshman year, I thought
that a certain teacher in this school is strict, when she asked details about
me. I answered her question and I felt that she is not contented with what I’ve
said. On my sophomore year, I proved the
she is really strict when we are asking for her to sign on our clearance. She
asked me where will she sign but I didn’t answer her question. I am not that
familiar with her. Yes, I often hear her name from other students of our
school. But I am afraid of her. What I
did was to go out and asked my classmate to do it. I know that she is close
with her. But, when I reached my junior year, I realized that I’m wrong. All
these thoughts and feelings were just a mistake.
When she started teaching our lessons in her
subject, the hairs on my arm started to stand. The sweat on my body started to
go out. I can already feel the coldness of hands. Yes, I am very nervous. But
this nervousness was replaced by enjoyment that I feel nowadays.
On our class, I always start with a smile and end
up with a smile too, with new knowledge on my mind that I can apply in my life.
She explains well all the things that are not well discussed and not clear to
me. She’s not just a teacher but also a friend that shares her thought and
feelings to our class so that we will not feel boring and sleepy. I am
challenged to study our lessons well so that I will not disappoint her, because
seeing her proud of what I do is something that I can treasure in my whole life.
I am very thankful that God gave me a teacher like
her. A person like her changed my life a lot.
She is a person I will never forget, for teaching me how to live my life
on the right path. She is Mrs. Mildred
Climacosa - Atendido, and we often call her Ma’am May.
HAPPY TEACHERS DAY!
